OES & PED


In semiconductor manufacturing, spectrometers are used for measuring the emission spectrum from a plasma chamber in real time and for diagnosis of manufacturing processes and analysis of materials such as optical emission spectrometer (OES) and end point detection (EPD).

  



Spectrometers monitor time trends of specific wavelengths related with the gases in plasma chambers. The manufacturing process can be optimized by detecting a change in the plasma status, control of the process variables and leakage detection.




Spectral Products has experience to work with big semiconductor manufacturer like SAMSUNG for establishing the optical emission detecting systems. 

   

With the help of some analyzing software, the optical emission spectrometer systems can be eventually set up as end point detection systems.
 
SPOES (Self-plasma optical emission spectrometer) consists of a plasma generator and an OES system. It can be also used for diagnosis of non-plasma process. Our spectrometers are used for sensing modules of SPOES systems or analysis of NIR phenomenon of gases in plasma chambers.


 

赤外分光


Spectral Products provides various IR array detectors (InGaAs, PbS, and PbSe) covering from 900nm up to 5500nm. By measuring the IR spectra, we can analyze the components of a material quantitatively. Some scientific algorithm like Chemometrics helps to realize the highly repeatable and extremely fast analyzing system comparing with a conventional chemical/physical analyzing methods.





Spectral Products have some experiences to develop an analyzing system (using our SM301) measuring the Nitrogen, Phosphor and Potassium concentration in livestock's liquid manure.


  


By establishing the correlation between the acquired (reference) values measured from conventional physical/chemical methods and the IR spectrum data measured from our IR spectrometers using some scientific algorithms, very simple but powerful system can be realized to replace the old technology.



測色と測光  Colorimmetry and Photometry


As the LED, OLED and display business grows, it becomes very important to measure and analyze the colorimetric and photometric characteristics of them. The spectrometers are the main instrument to carry out the colorimetry and photometry measurement and analysis. 
Spectral Products have been providing the measurement systems for analyzing the colorimetric and  photometric values of various samples. With SP's spectrometers and some accessories, the optical properties of various colors in the CIE color coordinates can be achieved easily.





In these days, the demand for LED light sources in wide areas is tremendously increasing. Spectral Products have been developing and providing the various LED measurement systems for standardized color quality control in the semiconductor industry.







薄膜厚測定  Thin film Thickness


Spectral Products have been providing our monochromators and spectrometers for various reflectometric and ellipsometric systems. By using those systems, the thin film thickness, the index of the refraction and other optical properties of the optical thin film coatings can be measured.



Spectrometers are being used in the manufacturing of semiconductor and display devices, optical monitoring system of optical coatings, and surface plasma resonance (SPR) systems. Wide range of selections for our spectrometers and monochromators makes it possible to build spectroscopic ellipsometer systems efficiently. Spectral Products' OEM modules are being used in many semiconductor inspection and optical coating monitoring systems successfully.




蛍光とラマン分光  Fluorescence and Raman Spectroscopy


The measurement of fluorescence, phosphorescence, and opto-chemical emission spectrum are required in many applications like organic and inorganic fluorescence property studies, chemical property analysis, and the research for the components and their lifetimes of some gases. The array detector based or monochromator based spectrometer systems are basically used in this field. And the application of the spectrometers is being expended to the studies of the DNA structures and testing the condition of foods, and many more biological and medical applications. Our spectrometers are also used in various luminescence applications.


  

Spectrometer systems are also the basic instruments for measuring Raman scattering in the chemical components analysis, the researches for the structure, stability and biological properties of various materials. Because there is no interference between Raman scattering and water, Raman spectroscopic method can acquire a lot of information from any solid, liquid and gas materials more easily than any traditional FT-IR methods.



There are a lot of needs for the portable Raman systems in these days. Spectral Products' back-thinned TE Cooled CCD spectrometer (SM303) has a compact design with high signal to noise ratio and high dynamic range so it can be a good candidate for the portable Raman applications.
The Fluorescence and Raman spectroscopy require good cut-off filters. With the accumulated experiences of our Optics Division (Spectral Optics) in the optical coating industry, we believe that we can serve and fulfill customers' requirements and demands in confidence.
